Police in Emmett Township say that an early morning fire may have been a case of arson.  Officers from Emmett, Newton and Pennfield Townships responded to the fire near Euclid and Columbia shortly after 1am.  The home was a total loss.  Investigators say the property appears to have been abandoned.  Public Safety Detectives and the Fire Marshall are looking into the case.
