Boil Water Advisory in Battle Creek

Authorities have issued a Boil-Water Advisory following some utility work in Battle Creek. Workers shut off water service to some residents today to replace a valve and that required them to drop the water pressure. Now the city has to check for bacteria. The advisory includes Highland between Iroquois and Territorial, as well as Orleans between Foster and Capital. Testing will take a minimum of 24 hours. During this time, residents will have to boil their water for at least minute before using it for consumption, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
