Move would save money
Budget problems may lead another local district to close one of its school buildings. The Galesburg-Augusta school board may take action as soon as March 22nd on closing the district’s intermediate school. That would save the district about 260-thousand dollars. Officials would have to find space in other facilities for nearly 200 students if they close the school.
